Goalie Pocket

Goalie Pockets

A solid pocket is one of the Goalies most important piece of equipment that they have – too tight you get rebounds, too soft/deep you get poor clearing performance, poor materials and stringing techniques can cause blowouts – a well strung pocket is a must for any serious net minder!

Women's Pocket

Women’s Pockets

It’s been a very exciting time for stringers when it comes to Women’s pockets.  Recent rules changes and massive updates in stick technology have allowed for previously unseen levels of performance and individuality with Women’s pockets.

Low Pocket

Low Pocket

The Low pocket is the placement of choice for stick handlers and one-handed cradlers.  By keeping the ball nestled down deep in the throat of the stick it makes very difficult to dislodge the ball.  A favorite of dodgers and attackmen the increased overall length of the pocket allows for a very defined channel allowing for excellent hold and often requires more of a “snap” release on shots and passes. Recommended for Intermediate to advanced players

Mid Pocket

Mid Pocket

Recommended for all ages and positions.  The Mid is the Jack-of-all-trades kind of pocket and the most widely used among players of all position and abilities.  With the ball placed in the middle of the throat of the stick it provides decent ball protection, minimal ball travel for passing/shooting, and it allows for the formation of a “channel” to give the stick “hold” without having to add “whip.” If you are new to the game or a seasoned vet you can’t go wrong with a mid pocket

High Pocket

High Pocket

Recommended for Middies and Long poles – The ball sits up high in the head just under the shooting strings – this allows for the ball to settle down quickly on ground balls which benefits long poles and minimal ball movement and maximum torque on shots benefits Middies and outside shooters.  The down side is that you must use a horizontal or side arm style cradle (not the best for stick protection) and with the ball sitting in the widest part of the stick, it’s not the most secure pocket.  Recommended for Advanced players with solid fundamentals.
